Auralis. Made for Defence. Made in Australia
Defendable Technologies, Australia’s leader in Cross Domain Solutions (CDS), today officially launched its flagship product, Auralis, at the Indo Pacific International Maritime Exposition (Indo Pacific) in Sydney.
Auralis is defence compliant, Australian Made solution designed for modern warfare. It’s certified, international assessed and combat ready, enabling secure information sharing across classified networks and domains. Prior to launch, the Auralis Wave optical diode underwent rigorous testing and evaluation, culminating in receiving the prestigious Common Criteria recognition.
Making the announcement, Head of Navy Capability, Rear Admiral Stephen Hughes, AM, CSC, RAN confirmed the international certification meets domestic standards, including the Australian Signals Directorate Information Security Manual (ASD ISM) controls. This independent assessment validates its use in classified systems facilitating secure data transfer across environments.

“Today’s launch of Auralis marks a significant milestone in Defendable Technologies’ commitment to advancing Australian sovereign technology,” said Rear Admiral Hughes.
“It celebrates Australian ingenuity and collaboration to ensure our sailors, soldiers and aviators maintain the decision advantage in every warfighting domain.”
Joining Rear Admiral Hughes, Defendable Technologies CEO Brad Junk-Gibson explained how Auralis enables seamless and secure sharing of mission-critical information between networks operating at different security levels.
“This is a major leap forward in sovereign information sharing. Auralis, powered by Australian patented ‘application synchronisation’ technology, delivers unmatched capability at the tactical edge,” said Junk-Gibson.
With autonomous warfare increasingly central for intelligence, surveillance, and strike operations, the need for secure interoperable data sharing across platforms and domains is mission critical. Auralis supports this by enhancing collaboration, enabling informed decision-making, and strengthening trust across systems.
At Indo Pacific 2025, Defendable Technologies teamed up with Ocius Technology to demonstrate how autonomous uncrewed surveillance vessels – such as the Ocius Bluebottle USV – can integrate with Auralis to deliver a secure information sharing advantage.
Flanked by the Auralis CDS and the Bluebottle USV, Junk-Gibson emphasised the importance of sovereign collaboration in delivering mission-capable systems.
“Our collaboration with Ocius showcases the exceptional capabilities within Australia’s maritime and broader Defence industry. Bringing sovereign platform and security technologies together ensures data and digital sovereignty, giving Navy the decisive edge it needs.”
Ocius Technology also highlighted the importance of innovation and industry leadership in the region.
“Partnering with Defendable Technologies to showcase the integration of our Bluebottle USV with Auralis demonstrates the strength of Australian innovation,” said CEO, Robert Dane.
“This collaboration highlights how sovereign technologies can work together to deliver secure, mission-ready solutions that enhance decision-making and operational effectiveness across maritime domains.”
Emphasising the collaborative spirit of both companies, the Auralis launch was immediately followed by Head of Navy Capability christening the Bluebottle on display at Indo Pacific 2025, BB 715.
